Pingit has had a makeover in 2019 – we’ve completely
rebranded and we’ve launched a whole host of great new features (not that we’re
biased!)
That’s why we wanted to share 10 things you might not know
about the Pingit app.
1. It's great for jam-jar budgeting
Pingit lets you split your money out into up to five jars.
So if you want a jar for your household expenses, a jar for your next holiday
and a jar to collect money for your best friend’s hen do, you can totally do
that.
2. You can pay from your jars
You can get yourself a free Pingit card, or if you fancied
something a bit different, there’s loads of contactless devices available too
(things like key fobs, bracelets and watches) *.
What’s really cool though, is that you can attach and move your
card or device between your Pingit jars.
3. It's got you covered if you ever misplace your device
Instantly freeze and thaw with the tap of a button.
4. There's no need to faff around with sort codes and account numbers
You can send money to people using their mobile number
instead. Simply select a contact from your phonebook, enter the amount you want
to send and you’re done. If they’re on Pingit, the money will go straight into
their account. If not, they’ll be sent a text with a link so they can receive
the money.
5. You can even send money abroad
No need to let distance slow things down. Pingit lets you
send money to friends in over 40 countries, fee-free.
6. It's great if you're the organiser of the group
You can set up your own payment request link (we call it
Pingit.me) that you can share with friends when they owe you money. Enter the
amount you’re owed, share the link and then keep track of when you’ve been paid
in the app.
7. You can split the bill too!
If you’ve just paid for the meal out with your besties, you
can request a set amount back from all of them in the app.
8. We're a trusted way to pay and play the National Lottery
You can get your Lotto, Thunderball and EuroMillions lucky
dip tickets in Pingit. And if you’re one of the lucky ones, you can instantly
withdraw winnings of up to £50,000 through your Pingit account into your bank
account.
9. It can help you when you're fundraising for charities close to your heart
You can create your own fundraising page for a charity
you’re passionate about. Set a target, share your link and all money raised
goes directly to the charity. It’s 100% fee-free too, which means more money
going to the causes that matter.
10. It's free to download
You get all these cool features without having to pay a
penny. Result!
